Nonprofit organizations may apply for funding for a community project through program.

The Jefferson County Rotary Club is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for a community project to fund with proceeds from its annual Cherry Tree Celebration, which will be held May 4.

The benefit raises approximately $10,000 each year for a local group, one-time project or capital improvement effort benefitting the community.

The recipient organization partners with Rotary to help put on the celebration and benefit auction, which raises funds for the selected project, along with Rotary scholarships.

Grant applications are available at Rotary's website at www.rcofjc.org under the Cherry Tree link, or by contacting the Cherry Tree co-chairs Alexa Gassner, at 541-279-0212, or Jennifer Holcomb, at 541-325-1315. Grant applications must be received no later than Nov. 30.
