Cascade East Transit holds local meetings to collect input on 2040 Transit Master Plan.

Local open houses on the CET 2040 Master Plan are set for March 13, in Madras, and March 14, in Warm Springs.As part of Cascades East Transit's 2040 Transit Master Plan, six community open house events will be held throughout Central Oregon in March. This second round of open houses will to collect input from residents to help prioritize near-term transit expansion projects.

Andrea Breault, CET's senior transit planner, noted, "CET received great feedback from the January open houses and we are excited to begin collecting additional community input regarding proposed near-term transit projects on the horizon."

Michelle Rhoads, CET/COIC transportation manager, indicated, "We are looking forward to engaging the community once again during this second round of open houses, which will allow CET to chart a new course for the future of public transportation and mobility management in Central Oregon."

Central Oregon residents are encouraged to attend the following open houses by dropping in during open hours listed below. Light snacks and activities for children will be provided.

The March events in Jefferson County will include one in Madras on Wednesday, March 13, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Library Rodriguez Annex, and in Warm Springs on Thursday, March 14, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy at 50 Chukar Road.

Camp Sherman residents can attend an open house Tuesday, March 12, from 3:30-6:30 p.m., at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Station, 301 South Elm St., in Sisters.
