Proceeds from Cherry Tree event will be available for a nonprofit's community project.

The Jefferson County Rotary Club is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for a community project to be funded with the proceeds from the annual Cherry Tree Celebration, which will be held May 9, 2020.

The benefit raises approximately $10,000 each year for a local group, one-time project, or capital improvement effort benefiting the community. The recipient organization partners with Rotary to help put on the celebration and benefit auction, which raises the funds for the selected project, as well as Rotary scholarships.

Grant applications are available upon request by contacting the Cherry Tree chairperson, Jennifer Holcomb, at 541-325-1315, or reaching out to a local Rotarian. Grant applications must be received no later than Dec. 15.
