Brian Jones, 51, of Redmond may have traveled to Warm Springs Wednesday evening or Thursday morning

COURTESY PHOTO: JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who saw Brian Jones, 51, of Redmond, Wednesday evening or Thursday morning to call.Since Thursday, Aug. 20, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, along with the Central Oregon Major Incident Team, has been investigating the death of Brian Jones, 51, of Redmond.

On Aug. 20, a person called 911 and reported that they believed they had found a body at on Northwest Danube Drive, about 7 miles northwest of Madras.

Deputies responded to the scene and talked with the person who reported the body at 6:44 a.m. They found a dead man lying next to the road.

The Central Oregon Major Incident Team was called to assist the sheriff's and district attorney's offices with the death investigation.

JCSO and the Oregon State Police are commanding the team.

The body was taken to Bel-Air Funeral Home, and the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office was scheduled to conduct an autopsy Friday morning.

The Major Incident Team includes Warm Springs Police Department, Madras Police Department, Bend Police Department, OSP, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, JCOS and the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office.
