COURTESY PHOTO - Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 responded to a fire at an abandoned mobile home Wednesday night.An abandoned mobile home burned down Wednesday, Sept. 30, on Jefferson Street in Metolius.

Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 firefighters arrived at 10:48 p.m. to find the mobile home "fully involved and knocked the fire down quickly," according to Deputy Chief Kasey Skaar.

They searched the building for people but found none.

Crews stayed on the scene for three hours, overhauling the structure, Skaar said.

The structure was a total loss, and the cause of the fire was unknown.

Seven volunteers and three staff responded with two engines, one tender, one rescue, one command vehicle, and one medic vehicle.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services and Pacific Power also responded.
