The Madras Windermere Central Oregon Real Estate office donated $1,500 to Family Access Network to benefit Jefferson County School District students and families.

"Windermere has donated to FAN in the past, but to the Bend and Redmond area, and now that Jefferson County has a branch, we saw a need there," said Windermere Broker Amy Brown. "We know there is high need in Jefferson County."

Family Access Network's mission is to offer assistance, possibility and hope to Central Oregon families in need by connecting them with resources that will help children flourish in school and in life.

FAN employs advocates in public schools (K-12) and early childhood sites across Central Oregon. The direct placement of FAN advocates within the public schools and early childhood sites allows FAN to reach and connect disadvantaged children and families to basic needs.

Jefferson County School District Family Access Network Advocate Alex Adame said the $1,500 donation will be used to provide local students and families access to food and clothing as well as FAN's eviction prevention program.

"Everything we do is thanks to people who donate, like Windermere," Adame said. "We are grateful there are people like Windermere who want to invest back into our community."

"Windermere is a company that prides itself on giving back to the community, and I love that about us and am proud to be a part of the Windermere family," Brown said.
