Local man pleads guilty to sodomy
Julio Cesar Medina, 42, pleaded guilty Friday, Jan. 8, to three counts of sodomy, a Class A felony.
The indictment says the victim was younger than 12 at the time of the first incident.
The crimes occurred over a period of three years between December 2011 and December 2014.
The victim reported the crime to the Department of Human Services in June of 2019. Madras Police investigated the case. Medina has been in custody since July of 2019.
Medina was sentenced to 25 years in prison and life-time post-prison supervision upon his release. He is required to register as a sex offender.
Six counts of sexual abuse were dismissed.
