The informal field day event includes educational and producer experience discussions

Central Oregon Hay Growers' Association and the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District are hosting the Jefferson County Irrigation Field Day on Tuesday, May 11.

The focus will be on converting MESA pivots and linears to LESA / LEPA / MDI systems, but there will be some other irrigation technology to see as well.

Refreshments are provided, but lunch will be on your own. The day will be informal, with educational and producer experience discussions at each stop. NRCS, SWCD's, WY'east RC & D and Energy Trust of Oregon will have information on cost-share programs.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at Feigner Farm, 7335 NE Ward Drive in Madras. Meet 1/8 mile north at Pumping Station.
