No one was injured in the midnight fire Wednesday on Kalish Road in Warm Springs

Fire damaged a vehicle and a duplex in Warm Springs just after midnight Wednesday, June 2.

A Warm Springs Fire and Safety media release reports crews being called to a vehicle and structure fire on Kalish Road at 12:33 a.m. Crews found a single-story duplex with heavy smoke and fire. A vehicle to the right of the structure was fully involved.

Crews initiated defensive fire attack due to rapidly evolving fire conditions in the home. Crews made a progressive fire stop to the rest of the structure.

There were no civilian or fire personnel injuries or casualties. The fire was contained to the structure and vehicle. The vehicle is considered a total loss. The unit to the right side of the duplex is also considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services and Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 provided mutual aid assistance.
