Car goes up in flames
A Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 news release says Sunday morning, July 18, a driver was on his way to the store when he saw a puff of smoke come from under the hood. He pulled over into an open parking lot across from the Subway restaurant on Northeast Plum Street. As he got out of the car, he saw fire under the hood.
The Madras Police Department responded. JCFD No. 1 arrived and put out the fire.
There were no injuries and no other damages.
Investigators do not know what caused the fire.
