Tickets are on sale for event that honors outstanding individuals and businesses

Each year, the Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Community Awards Banquet, where individuals and businesses are recognized for outstanding service and performance in the community.

The banquet has been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Erickson Aircraft Collection, 2408 NW Berg Drive in Madras. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., dinner follows at 7 p.m., and the presentations will be at 8 p.m. The event is open not only to chamber members but to community members as well.

Awards will be presented to Senior of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Community Champion, Public Servant of the Year, and Business of the Year for the year 2021. The Chamber Awards Committee selected awardees from the nominations submitted by chamber members and the Jefferson community at large.

The Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet was originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 23, but the Chamber Board of Directors delayed the event as a result of unfavorable COVID numbers that were impacting local medical resources and front-line staff.

Tickets are $50 per person, which may be purchased at the chamber office or by calling 541-475-2350. In the event of an unforeseeable cancelation, the tickets will be refunded.
