Authorities seeking assistance in locating Logan Cantwell after incident Saturday morning closed U.S. Highway 97

Following shots fired at police, authorities are searching for Logan Cantwell, 23, also known as Logan Taylor and Kendall Myers. Cantwell is white, 5' 04" approximately 140 pounds with short strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police are requesting public assistance in locating him. Cantwell is considered armed and dangerous, and police warn not to approach if seen. Tips should be directed to 911 or the Oregon State Police Dispatch at 800-442-0776 or OSP (677) from your mobile phone.

On Saturday Nov. 13, Cantwell fired shots at Wasco County Sheriff's Deputies in an attempt to elude arrest along U.S. Highway 97. No one was injured, but Cantwell remains at large. Oregon State Police SWAT team searched a local residence, but Cantwell evaded arrest.

No further details on Cantwell eluding the officers was released.

Multiple police vehicles responded to the scene, which erupted with a report of shots fired at approximately 9 a.m. Saturday. Highway 97 was eventually closed for several hours while officers gathered evidence.

Cantwell has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, second-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal mischief and attempt to elude.
