Moving Northwest Pine Street would allow the businesses two lots to be contiguous.

The Ag West Supply store in Madras is in the process of relocating to the old Parr Lumber building on U.S. Highway 97, south of town.

In a letter to the Madras Planning Department, Max Smith, chief executive officer of Ag West, noted the store has 20 full-time employees, and that the move would allow the business to grow substantially.

Smith's letter requested the planning department consider moving Northwest Pine Street (which goes between the store lot and the lot where equipment is displayed) up against Willow Creek, so the two Ag West lots could be contiguous. Moving the street would add value to the Ag West property, and make it easier for them to find a buyer.
