The Hoovsters 4-H club has been having monthly meetings and are now at the point of meeting every week up until fair.

We have been working on showmanship practices, setting up, and weighing in. Our record books are up to date and ready to have checked off and the buyer letters are done. Early in the year, we were shown how to give vaccinations, and then practiced it on little cuties.

Hoovsters has gained five new members this year -- four with a market sheep project and one with a market hog.

This past week, we served at the Madras Community kitchen. We barbecued hamburgers, (thanks Simon!) had macaroni and potato salad, watermelon and berries, cookies, lemonade and coffee. We served 24 people.

As we are getting closer to fair, we would like to thank all our supporters in the years past, and invite you to come to the fair and check out our hard work. Ask us questions; we are happy to answer any questions you may have. See you there!
