The 2018 Fall FireFree Community Clean-up event was very successful. Final tallies for the two weekend event showed that 551 loads of yard debris were taken in, and they totaled 73.27 tons of products, which were not burned and emitted into the atmosphere.

A special thank you goes out to Madras Sanitary Service, Jefferson County Adult Community Justice Department, Jefferson County Public Works and Jefferson County Fire District Students and volunteers. Without coordinated participation from all the above mentioned participants this event would not happen.

The next FireFree event will be coming up in the spring of 2019. Watch for those important dates.
