Wednesday, Oct. 31

Spooktacular Halloween – Trick or treat from 4-6 p.m., in downtown Madras on Fifth Street, between B and D streets. The event is sponsored by local merchants.

Costume Contest – The Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Halloween Costume Contest for merchants. Judging is Oct. 31. Call or email to register at 541-475-2350, or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Trunk or Treat – The Madras Elks Lodge, at 262 SW Second St., Madras, is holding a Trunk or Treat, with candy being given out from car trunks from 5:30-8 p.m., Oct. 31.

Chinook Place – Trick or treat from 5-7 p.m., Oct. 31, at safe, warm and fun Chinook Place Assisted Living, at 470 NE Oak St., Madras.

East Cascade – Trick-or-treating, 5-6 p.m., Oct. 31, at 175 NE 16th St., Madras, at East Cascade Assisted Living.

TS&S Ford – The dealership will be holding a trunk-or-treat event from 3-8 p.m., Oct. 31, at 1733 SW Highway 97.

Metolius – Metolius City Hall employees will be handing out treats to kids from 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.

Sureline Passport - Sureline Broadband, at 596 SW Fourth St., Madras, is holding a Halloween Passport Party, Oct. 31. Get a pumpkin passport at Sureline, trick or treat all locations and return to Sureline to enter a contest to win a basket of candy. There is also a costume contest.

Plateau Travel Plaza – Kids can pick up treats from 3-9 p.m., Oct. 31, in the convenience store at Plateau Travel Plaza, 215 NW Cherry Lane, Madras.

KOA – The KOA campground, at 2433 SW Jericho Lane, Culver, is hosting a trunk and treat, from 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31. People are invited to bring their cars and treats to participate, and bring a flashlight.
