CRR to dedicate veterans memorial
To honor those who have served, sacrificed and are currently serving our country, Cooked River Ranch will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the Crooked River Ranch Veterans and First Responders Wayside Memorial.
Nov. 11, at 3 p.m., there will be a flag line supported by the Band of Brothers, the Ranch fire department, Sheriff's department and other officials.
The memorial will be dedicated to all veterans, first responders and the family members and friends who support them. The ceremony will be next to the kiosk on Chinook Road, next to the tennis court and across from McPherson Park.
The public may donate by purchasing an inscribed brick for $50, that will be placed in the memorial, or making a tax deductible donation for the building of the memorial. Organizers are still in need of some donated material such as gravel, concrete and engineering.
Coffee and light snacks will be provided at the event. For more information, contact John Meredith at 541-948-2897 or Lynnelle Morgan at 971-998-7165.
