Alzheimer's class scheduled at St.Charles Madras
,There will be an Alzheimer's educational program in Madras to discuss the impact of Alzheimer's and the differences between Alzheimer's and dementia.
On March 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. at St. Charles Madras the Alzheimer's Association will be offering a free educational program, where community members are able to attend and learn about the disease.
According to the association 5.7 million Americans live with Alzheimer's and it is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S.
The program, in Madras, will offer information about the stages of Alzheimer's, risk factors, research on the disease, treatments available for certain symptoms and resources available through the association.
The class is open to the public, including nonprofessional and professional caregivers. The class will also look at legal and financial concerns about the disease, as well as communication and behavior concerns.
