Glenns celebrate 50th anniversary
David and Marie Glenn, of Madras, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on March 22. To celebrate, they are taking a trip to the Oregon Coast with their family.
The two united in marriage on March 22, 1969, in Longview, Washington, and began their lives together in Seattle, where Marie Glenn worked and took classes part-time at a community college while David Glenn worked and attended the University of Washington.
Later, the couple moved to Eugene, where David attended the University of Oregon Law School. The couple didn't know what life had in store for them at the time, but it has been 50 years of family, friends, and adventure.
Marie Glenn is now retired from the Jefferson County School District and David Glenn has been a lawyer in Madras for 45 years, spending nearly all of it as a partner in what is now the Glenn, Reeder and Gassner law firm, with no plans to retire.
A love of music, outdoor sports, gardening and learning new things continues to lead the couple into new life adventures.
After 50 years of marriage, their family has grown to include their three children, daughter Kelly and husband Charlie, son Mathew and wife Michelle, daughter Meagan and husband Cheyne, and grandchildren, Leah, Ryan and Simon.
