{filler:graphics-events-calendar-activities.jpg}The Madras High School students who are headed to Tomi City, Japan, in June, are kicking their fundraising efforts into full gear, beginning with a car wash on Saturday, April 13.

Katherinne Parodi, Kimberly Juarez, Elan Rios and Kiandra Smith, along with this year's chaperone, Andrew Smiley, are headed to Tomi City, the Sister City of Madras, in June, and the group has to come up with a total of $8,000, some of which has already been raised.

All money raised at the car wash, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, and running until 3 p.m. in the Napa Auto Parts parking lot, will go toward the trip. There is a suggested donation of $10 per car and $15 per large truck or van.
