Madras High School Key Club will be hosting a Kids' Cultural Day Saturday at Sahalee Park.

PIONEER LOGO - Key Club is hosting the second of three Kid's Cultural Days. The Madras High School Key Club will be hosting its second community Kids' Cultural Day Saturday at Sahalee Park. The featured culture is Mexico, with crafts for kids including maracas, baleros, buttons and mini pinatas.

In addition to the crafts, there will be traditional games, including balero (ball in cup), pirinola (top) and loteria (similar to bingo).

In the morning and afternoon, there will be live music, with Studio K performing folkloric dance from 11 a.m. to noon. At least two full-sized pinatas will be broken with goodies shared during the event.

"The community was fantastic at the last event, with our younger youth having a great time, and I really saw the Key Clubbers gain a tremendous amount of experience in planning, actually doing and then critiquing the Peru event," said Key Club advisor Kim Schmith.
