Youth FUN day in Culver park
Mountain Star Relief Nursery, in conjunction with Kim Schmith and a grant from the Jefferson County Cultural Coalition, held a Youth FUN Day in the Culver City Park Saturday.
More than 40 local children, as well as their parents and grandparents, participated in making multicultural crafts, including Japanese koi kites, mini papier-maché pinatas, wooden ornaments, maracas, and Africa styled necklaces.
The Culver Youth Council offered rock painting and helped support the other activities throughout the morning.
The event ran from 10 a.m. to noon. There is another similar event planned in August to be held at the Metolious City Park.
