Concert set for Madras Bowl
Fourteen-year-old singer Chloe Lorentzen, who grew up in Madras before moving to the United Kingdom, will hold a concert from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Madras Bowl and Pizza, to celebrate the launch of "My Time," her new album.
Although she's only 14, she has been described as "the next Adele" by triple Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile, with whom Chloe performed at the Oregon Zoo, during her last visit in 2017.
Chloe will be performing original songs from her album, which will be available for purchase, as well as playing a few well-known favorites.
She'll also be raising money for War Child UK, a charity that protects, rehabilitates and educates children caught up in conflict zones across the globe.
So far, Chloe has raised more than $10,000 for the charity through sales of her first CD, "Beneath Safer Skies."
Entry to the concert is free. Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase at Madras Bowl and Pizza, at 66 NE A St.
