Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and St. Mark's Episcopal Church class explores scripture.

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and St. Mark's Episcopal Church is beginning a Bible study class starting Jan. 5.

All are welcome to attend, no matter if you are new to the Bible or have been studying scripture for a long time.

The class focuses on exploring the Bible using Rev. Anne Robertson's "What Is the Bible?" The author describes the course as "a broad overview of the Bible, including chapters on how to select a Bible suitable for your needs, how the Bible is organized, how the collections of books that comprise the Bible were chosen, different ways that people approach the text and what archaeology has to tell us about the text and stories."

Call Pastor Katherine Brick, who will be teaching the class, at 503-997-1994 or the church office at 541-475-3578 to let them know you are coming, or just show up for the class on Sunday morning.

The class runs from 9-10 a.m. every Sunday morning beginning this week, at the church, located at 395 SE C St.
