509-J students took the stage on Tuesday, in front of their peers, to dance, sing and represent their heritage.

On Tuesday, March 3, Madras High School presented two performances of its first annual Celebration of Cultures at the Madras Performing Arts Center. The program included Native American dances, a Samoan song played on the ukulele and several other acts, all performed by Jefferson County School District students.

It is the school's intent to keep the event going next year and add to the cultures represented.
