HOLLY M. GILL - Denise and John Patridge, of Portland, check out a booth at the Saturday Market at Sahalee Park, during Cycle Oregon's three-day, two-night visit.Saturday Market will open June 6 at Sahalee Park in Madras.

The market will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. New safety protocols will be in place.

The market is looking for vendors, including farmers, backyard gardeners, vegetable and flower starts, and other locally produced food and other items. Essential items will be allowed: produce, meat, cheese, honey, tea, herbal products and soaps.

The market is taking applications for nonessential items, as well, and will allow them if state regulations permit.

"In January, the Madras Saturday Market board decided to adjust the regulations on what can be sold at our market," said a Facebook post from the market. "We have decided that all products sold at MSM must be grown or made/designed in Oregon, meaning our market is now complete homegrown and handmade."
