More postseason games to be broadcast online

The Oregon School Activities Association has been webcasting state championship events since 2008, and that won't change.

But now, they will have a new home.

The OSAA has joined the National Federation of State High School Associations Network,, to help create the largest aggregated destination for coverage of high school sports in the country.

The all-digital network features – for now – 28 states that will broadcast postseason athletic contests, along with select performing arts events, on the Internet.

PlayOn! Sports, an Atlanta-based company that has been working with a number of state high school associations, OSAA included, to present state championships to a worldwide audience will provide production services.

"We are very excited to be a part of this new national high school network," OSAA executive director Tom Welter said. "It will provide us more opportunities to showcase the many talented students in our state."

There will be a subscription fee to access the feeds, and all the information can be found on the NFHS Network website.
