Bulldogs win their second game of the season with a home win over Santiam on Monday, March 26.

The Culver Bulldogs baseball team won its second game of the year in Culver, on Monday, March 26, against the Santiam Wolverines 8-2.

The Bulldogs spread their offense around with seven different players recording one or more runs. They did most of their damage in the first and third innings, scoring two runs in the first and three in the third.

Culver was led by sophomore Justyce Loredo, with two runs and two RBIs. Weston Basl and Joe Russo contributed with a RBI each for Culver.

Cord Gomes and Cole Little shared the mound for the Bulldogs. Gomes gave up no hits, with two strikeouts in two innings, while Little recorded nine strikeouts in five innings, only giving up one hit.

Culver (2-2) plays Madras JV, Wednesday, April 4, in Culver. They also have a doubleheader Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., against Grant Union/Prairie City at home in Culver.
