Bulldog track and field visited Summit High School Wednesday, April 25. The big schools used their JV team and the small schools their varsity.

CULVER HIGH SCHOOL - Bulldog logoCulver varsity track and field visited Summit for a meet. The meet was a mix between big school's JV teams and small school's varsity athletes, Wednesday, April 25.

The teams for men's track was Summit (109), Burns (91.5), Culver (27.5), The Dalles (26), and Gilchrist (8).

Sophomore Caden Engel (12:09) placed second with a PR in the 100-meter dash.

The 4x100-meter relay team was won by Edwin Gutierrez, Johan Jaimes, Cesar Orozco, and Kash Michael (47.11) of Culver.

Michael and Engel both hit PRs in the high jump. Michael (5-11) placed first and Engel (5-6) finished in second place.

Jordan VanAlstyne tied for second in the pole vault (10-00) and set a PR.

Jaimes hit a PR in the long jump (17-05.25) to finish third.

The women's track and field team placed fourth. Summit (99.5), Burns (85), Gilchrist (32), Culver (24) and The Dalles (20.5) all competed.

Emma Knepp placed second in the 1,500-meter run (12:36.90).

Catylynn Duff finished first in both the shot put (36-04) and the discus (100-7).

In the Javelin junior thrower Mikayla Haessler (88-03) finished in third place.
