Two Madras High School bowlers combined with Bend High School to win state on Feb 23-24.

Madras and Bend girls joined together for the bowling season and on Feb. 23-24, in Salem they won state.

Madras high school bowlers Anona Francis and Zoya Hansen joined three other girl bowlers and the combined team captured gold.

The boys team of A.J. Morgan, Andrew Short, Reed Surber, Garrett Goelze, and Seth Baker placed third at districts on Jan. 26 and were able to place twelfth at state in Salem.

They have made state in back-to-back years. This was the first time the girls made it to state.
