The standout wrestler was a four-time 2A state champion and a two-time Reser Tournament of Champion titlist.

Vasquez committed to wrestle at the University of Southern Oregon, in Ashland, next year.

Vasquez pinned all of his state tournament challengers. With a very large lead in his finals, he pinned his opponent in the last 27 seconds. of the match.

Vaquez joined Miguel Baltazar and Jared Kasch in becoming a four-time state champion at Culver High. He is the only Bulldog to win the Reser Tournament of Champions, which includes wrestlers from all school classifications in Oregon. Vasquez (126 pounds) became a Reser champion during both the 2017-18 season and 2018-19 season.

The tournament is for only elite competition from all classifications. Ths past season, Vasquez won outstanding wrestler in the entire tournament.

Vasquez finished his senior year with a 40-2 record. Vasquez will now add another trophy to his collection.
