Madras is hosting the District 5 All-Star tournament and brackets, time are now available.

STEELE HAUGEN - Opening ceremonies will be at the Madras High School football field at 6 p.m. Friday, June 21. The games will follow the next day at Juniper Hills Park and at the high school baseball fields.
The 2019 Oregon District 5 All-Star Tournament is here and the games start this weekend.

Madras is hosting this year's All-Star Tournament at Juniper Hills Park, with several new facilities and a fun water center set up for the big event.

Opening ceremonies will be at the Madras High School football field at 6 p.m. Friday, June 21. The games will follow the next day at Juniper Hills Park or the MHS baseball fields

All the Junior baseball games will be played at the MHS baseball fields, while the younger groups will be at the park.

At the tournament, there will be a concession stand, food vendors, barbecue, small weekend market. Additionally, the Madras Aquatic Center, Bean Foundation and Kids Club of Jefferson County have teamed up to put together a kid activity center.

The kid activity center — located at the soccer fields — will have water slides, bouncy houses, a dunk tank, and more. The area will be staffed by both MACRD and Kids Club employees.

The Jefferson County Little League board and staff has been working very hard to make the fields and park look amazing for the visitors and participants. As an added bonus, the Madras Aquatic Center will have a sunset swim event on Saturday from 7:30-10 p.m.

The Jefferson County softball team, ages 8-10, plays at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23. The team plays the winner of Crook County and Bend North, which plays at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Warm Springs 8-10 softball team also plays on Sunday, but the game will start at 2 p.m. Warm Springs will play the winner of Redmond and Bend South.

The Jefferson County Majors team takes on The Dalles at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22. If the Jefferson County All-Star team wins its game, it will face the winner of Crook County and Redmond. Warm Springs does not have a Majors baseball team.

The Warm Springs Majors softball team plays Bend South at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 22. If the team wins, it will take on Sisters at 2 p.m. Sunday. Jefferson County does not have a Majors softball team.

There will also be ages 8-10 baseball games and Junior baseball games being played as well, but neither Jefferson County or Warm Springs have teams.
