White Buffalos run all over Dayton Pirates
The Madras White Buffalos football team hosted the Dayton Pirates Sept. 27 during their homecoming game and came away with a 39-12 victory.
On the Buffalos' first offensive play sophomore quarterback Ethan Graeme threw a 33 yard touchdown pass to Donnie Bagley, taking an early lead.
The score remained 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, but at the start of the second quarter Dayton threw a deep bomb from quarterback Kaden Fergus to Gavin Arce for a 31 yard touchdown. The PAT was blocked and Madras still had a 7-6 lead.
The White Buffalos established a dominant run game and senior power back Treyvon Easterling scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second quarter.
On the last play before halftime, Dayton threw a deep ball in the air and it was caught for a touchdown by Kody Fuller. Madras had a 27-12 lead at the halfway break.
Madras went right back to Easterling in the second half, who ran in a 19 yard run for his fourth touchdown, giving Madras a 33-12 lead.
Near the end of the game Graeme was able to score on a quarterback sneak, sealing a 39-12 victory over the Dayton Pirates.
