High school sports cancellations, Little League, camps, ODFW
The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) has suspended interscholastic practices and contests for sports and activities for all member schools effective Friday, March 13, through Tuesday, March 31.
Jefferson County Little League postponed
Message from the JCLL:
JCLL families - With recommendations from National Little League in regards to the concern of coronavirus, District 5 Little League, including JCLL, will be postponing all activities until April 6.
We will keep everyone updated as any further information becomes available.
We hope everyone still gets out with their players and enjoys some sunshine and throws a ball around!
Culver wrestling camp postponed
A Culver wrestling camp on March 21-22, a wrestling camp at Culver High School, has been postponed until further notice. The camp included six full sessions of technique, live wrestling, mat games and pep talking.
ODFW cancels educational classes and workshops until April 13
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife is canceling hunter education classes, field days, clinics, outdoor skills workshops, angler education trainings, Family Fishing events and other volunteer-led activities in accordance with COVID-19 guidance from the state of Oregon and the governor's office until at least April 13.
MACRD spring sports are still going on as planned. The season starts on April 4 and registration is still open. The MACRD is taking guidance from local health officials and state offices as things progress. If things change, they will discuss options as it comes.
