Webb, Horat earn Tri-River Conference honors for Lady Dawgs
Two Culver Lady Dawgs basketball players earned Tri-River Conference honors, Kiana Webb and Karmen Horat.
The girls basketball team finished the season with a 2-21 record, 0-14 in the TRC. They had a team GPA of 3.58.
The TRC had three teams make it to the state playoffs, Kennedy, Colton and Gervais. The Kennedy Trojans beat Monroe in the girls 2A state playoffs 48-26 to become the state champions.
Webb earned third team all-league honors for Culver. She was the point guard and floor general for the Lady Dawgs and was able to score in several different ways, from attacking to the rim, shooting from behind the arc and getting to the free-throw line.
She averaged 11.3 points per game in conference play and 15 points per game in nonconference games. Webb had a season high of 21 points, making five 3-pointers and dishing out three assists against Sheridan.
Horat earned honorable mention honors for the Lady Dawgs. She used her defense and athleticism to help out the Lady Dawgs, while finding ways to score in transition. Horat improved her jump shot throughout the year, which showed later in the season.
She averaged 4.5 points per game in conference play and had a season high of 13 points and eight rebounds against Sheridan.
Horat and Webb are both seniors and will not return to play for the Lady Dawgs next season due to graduation.
