Jefferson County Little League All-Stars heading to state tourney
The Jefferson County Little League All-Stars are all set for the 2022 Junior League Baseball state tournament.
After taking second place at the District 5 tournament in Madras, the JCLL team earned a spot in the state finals, while District 5 champions Bend North advanced directly to the regional tournament, which is being played in Bend next month.
Other teams in the field include fellow district champions Del Norte, East County, La Grande, South Salem and Wilsonville.
The state tournament begins Saturday, July 23, at 8 a.m., and Jefferson County plays its first game at 5:30 p.m. later that day. The double-elimination event will continue at least until Monday, July 25, and possibly into Tuesday, July 26. The winner advances to the regional tournament.
All games will played at Davidson Field, 251 SE Court Street in Prineville.
