White Buffalos will be hosting playoff games, if they continue to advance, until the semi-finals

TONY AHERN - Senior Gustavo Reynoso, 19, readies a kick during the Madras-Crook County soccer game Oct. 25. Reynoso scored a goal less than two minutes the game, a key to the Buffs' 2-1 victory. Madras is ranked fourth in the 4A rankings and will be hosting playoff games until the semi-finals, if they advance they far. The Madras White Buffalos boys soccer squad is guaranteed home games in the state playoff until at least the semi-finals, if they make it that far.

The fourth-ranked Buffs finished their regular season Tuesday with a 2-1 win over 1-11-1 Crook County on Senior Night in Madras.

The win locked up the fourth seed in the state 4A playoffs, noted head coach Clark Jones, meaning the Buffs will host all the playoff games they are in until and if they reach the semi-finals.

The Buffs don't know their first opponent yet because the second- and third-place teams in each league will be playing this week to determine who moves on in the tournament. The Buffs should know by Saturday who they are playing in their first matchup.

The fourth seed is the best seed Madras has had in the playoffs since being third in 2010.
