Madras soccer teams of all ages compete in the Broken Top 3v3 tournament in Bend.

Several local soccer teams competed in the Broken Top 3v3 soccer tournament in the Big Sky Park in Bend, June 8.

The youngest Madras team was a 9-and-under squad that finished the tournament with a 3-1 record.

The soccer team, called MCP Jr., defeated the Titans 4-1 in their first match and the Avengers 5-3 in their second match.

Their third game was against Cobra Kai and both teams were 2-0. MCP Jr. defeated Cobra Kai 5-4. MCP Jr. had a rematch with Cobra Kai for their final game, but lost 1-0.

A 14-and-under Madras team, called Madras Bayern, finished the tournament with a 2-1-1 record. They defeated the Swift Sweepers 8-6 and the Epic Winners 5-3 during their first two games.

The team later lost to Soggy Green Beans 4-0 and tied Kicky Time 1-1 to finish the tournament out.

A 14-and-under girls team, called Mad Springs 4, entered the tournament, but couldn't secure any wins, finishing with a 0-4 record.

Two different 16-and-under girls team entered the tournament, as well. The Mad Springs 2 team finished 1-2, while the Mad Springs 3 squad went 1-3 at the tournament.

The last Mad Springs teams, a 19-and-under girls team, Mad Springs 1, went 0-4 and a coed adult team, Mad Springs 5, went 1-2.

Another big tournament is taking place in Bend soon — the 2019 Bend Premier Cup — which will be held in August. The tournament will be Aug. 9-11, for ages 15-19, and Aug. 16-18, for ages 10-14.
