Students in the Culver FFA Chapter have been very busy this spring with a variety of events

 - Culver FFA students participated in the Central Oregon District FFA Tractor Driving competition on April 21.

On April 7, the Culver FFA Chapter hosted a very successful banquet. Due to restrictions, there was a limited number of attendees. At the banquet, Culver's new officers were inducted. The new officers are, President: Tegan Macy, Vice President: Emma Richards, Secretary: Bailey Anderson, Treasurer: Brayden Macy, Reporter: Kailee Macy, Sentinel: Troy Potampa. Mark Wunsch, from the Jefferson County Livestock Association, accepted the Distinguished Service Award for all the association has always done for the youth of Jefferson County.

Culver participated in the Central Oregon District FFA Tractor Driving competition on April 21. Culver's Advanced Team placed first with Tegan Macy, Troy Potampa, Trevor Smith and Gabe Wilson. Culver's Beginning Team placed third with Logan Macy, Kailee Macy and Cole Roff. Individually, Tegan Macy placed second and Gabe Wilson placed fifth in advanced. The third place beginning individual was Logan Macy. Congratulations to all contestants!

On May 19, the Culver FFA Chapter placed third at the Central Oregon District Shop Skills hosted by Redmond High School. Culver had 19 contestants competing in contests ranging from floral arranging to welding. Participants included Bailey Anderson, Reed Arsenault, Jade Carroll, Fernando Gamboa, Alejandro Gonzalez, Aiden Guest, Wylie Johnson, Nic Ivie, Brayden Macy, Kailee Macy, Tegan Macy, Preston Madison, Bowen Nelson, Teal Nelson, Trent Reese, Emma Richards, Trevor Smith, Gabe Wilson and Lexee Wittenberg. All of the contestants did very well.

Culver Soils judging team traveled to Central Linn to compete at state on May 21. Culver FFA members participating were Nic Ivie, Preston Madison, Kailee Macy, Tegan Macy and Troy Potampa, and they placed third overall at state. Kailee Macy placed fourth, Tegan Macy placed sixth, and Troy Potampa placed seventh at state individually.

On May 7 and May 8, the Culver FFA Annual Plant Sale was held. We had a very successful sale and are so grateful to the community for their support. We are going to have another plant sale located at the Culver High School from 4 to 6 on June 3 and 4.
