YCCC job fair set in McMinnville
McMINNVILLE – Yamhill County's tenth annual Community Connect Event and WorkSource Oregon Job Fair will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ted Wilson Gym in the Health, Human Performance and Athletics Building at Linfield College, 48 S.E. Linfield Ave.
This event confidentially connects Yamhill County individuals and families with critical resources and services at no cost. Lunch will be provided as well.
There will be more than 50 different service providers and employers will be on hand at the event, covering a variety of areas including early learning, youth, housing, job search and healthy living programs, counseling and veteran services.
In addition, those services free of charge include basic health and vision screenings, basic dental care, skin cancer screenings for individuals 21 and older, bike repair, flea and tick treatment for pets, clothing for men and women, and showers.
Yamhill County Transit Area has approved a day of free public transportation on the day of the event. Individuals who wish to utilize this service must go to the YCTA McMinnville Transit center at 800 N.E. Second St. to catch a bus to the Community Connect Event.

Child safety seat inspections at Springbrook Fire Station
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue is hosting a child safety seat inspection clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Springbrook Fire Station, 3100 Middlebrook Road. Certified technicians will be on hand to ensure children are properly secured in the seat and the seat is properly installed in the vehicle. To make an appointment, call 503-259-1500.
