Jac's Deli closes its doors, seeking new ownership
Jac's Deli and Frozen Custard, a Newberg staple since 2012, will close while its owners attempt to find a buyer for the restaurant.
Owners Nick and Michelle Storm, who bought the business last year and reopened it on Jan. 2, announced on Dec. 4 they were closing the restaurant on 111 East First St., saying in a Facebook post they "have to put our family first for the well-being of our kids. We have enjoyed our time getting to know our loyal customers and appreciate each and every one of you!"
The post went on to say they were looking for a buyer for the eatery and believe the location is right for someone to be successful. They urge any interested buyers to reach out to them.
They met with potential buyers the following day, closing the restaurant early to do so. A Dec. 10 post from the company's website read "I hope I find a good fit for this wonderful place. If you know anyone that wants to try out a restaurant concept, do a pop up of some kind food related or teach restaurant business out of this space, I am open for ideas. Help me keep it full of life."
