City partners with SeeClickFix to address problems
The city of Newberg is now available to contact via SeeClickFix, an app that allows residents to report community problems by submitting a photo and description of the issue.
The app will geo-locate the report, enabling city officials and relevant agencies to resolve the problem quicker, a release from the city said. Users will be given updates from the city on the progress of the fix in real time.
SeeClickFix provides the city of Newberg with a centralized issue management system that engages community members from beginning to end, the release claimed.
Residents can report issues such as potholes, code compliance issues or street signs and will receive notifications as their issues move toward resolution. Users can also sign up for notifications from the city on street closures, city events and other reported issues.
"SeeClickFix is a simple tool for residents to share issues within the community and the technology will improve city responsiveness," Newberg City Manager Dan Weinheimer said. "Anyone in the community can use this system to report concerns and be involved in improving Newberg for all residents.
"The data collected in the system will improve our customer service by managing communication with complainants, increasing the speed of resolution and transparently track our accountability."
The app is available for free on iPhones and Android devices. In addition to the mobile app, community members can send reports to the city's website at https://bit.ly/3kWChhX or visit the City's Facebook page.
