County public health department will host immunization clinic
Yamhill County Public Health will host an immunization clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Edwards Elementary School cafeteria. Students under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult and have their most up-to-date shot record. 'Social Security Explained' class Thursday at
Newberg Public Library

Technology health workshop Nov. 3
Newberg High School will host "Plugged In," a technology health workshop with Dr. Doreen Dodgen-Magee, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in Drea Ferguson Auditorium. Dodgen-Magee will help families learn to harness the advantages of technology while avoiding its pitfalls. Participants can win passes to the Evergreen Wings & Waves Water Park and Get Air Trampoline Park.
Newberg will host blood drives Oct. 26 and Oct. 29
The American Red Cross will hold blood drives at three locations in Newberg during the month of October. The first is set for 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Abby's Pizza, 1913 Portland Road. The third blood drive will take place from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Springbrook fire station, 3100 Middlebrook Drive.

Nov. 17 concert will benefit Habitat for Humanity
The second annual Habitat for Humanity benefit concert will take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 17 in the auditorium at Newberg High School, 2400 Douglas Ave. The concert will showcase a variety of talented musicians, including local choirs and Sweet Adelines, a female barbershop-style choir.
