The summer concert series at Newberg's Chehalem Tasting Room & Wine Bar began again on Aug. 9, with the group Trio Eclectique d' 903.

On Aug. 10 the tasting room then hosted the 2019 OMSI Star Party at its new vineyard on Bell Road in Sherwood.

On Aug. 11, the tasting room participated in the Alt Wine Fest held at the Old School House in Newberg.

Music returns on Friday with Troy Richmond Dixon, a singer and songwriter who blends together rock, folk, soul and country music. The tasting room website said he is often compared to contemporary artists like Ryan Adams, Ray La Montagne and Ben Harper.

On Aug. 24, the tasting room will host Saturday night bingo from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event also returns Aug. 31.SUBMITTED PHOTO - Singer/songwriter Troy Richmond Dixon will perform Aug. 24 at Chehalem Tasting Room & Wine Bar in Newberg.

The final show for the month will be Aug. 30 and feature Bellow Bridge, a four-piece Celtic folk band from Portland. The group plays traditional music and songs from the British Isles and describe itself as not being interested in fame, "but rather we think of ourselves as the village band, like in times past when live music was just a part of community life. Good fun and great tunes are at the heart of what Bellow Bridge is all about."

There are no concerts listed for September at the tasting room, just Saturday night bingo on Sept. 7 and 14.

Live music is slated to return Oct. 4 with the Teccas, a father and daughter duo from Montana that plays country music.
