Cultural center will display works from the upcoming Art Harvest Studio Tour

CCC to host preview of Art Harvest Studio Tour

The Chehalem Cultural Center will host an exhibit of works from the upcoming Art Harvest Studio Tour of Yamhill County beginning at 9 a.m. Sept. 4 in the Parrish Gallery. The exhibit features work of several presenting artists and gives patrons a jump start on the tour. An artist reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 13. The actual tour begins Oct. 4.

Coffee Cottage to host author on Aug. 21

Newberg's Coffee Cottage will host a meet-the-author event with writer Robert Mulkey from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 21 at the business on Hancock Street. Mulkey will read from his book "This is My Lemonade: An Adoption Story," as well as signing copies. Books will be available for purchase at the event as well.

Cover band comes to Newberg winery

The band Hit Machine will play at Newberg's Alexana Winery from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The five-piece band is based out of Scappoose and plays cover hits from all eras and genres.
