The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition is providinjg grants to further its artistic and cultural mission

The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition has announced it will offer up to $2,500 in grants for its 2020 cycle.

According to a press release, the grants will be awarded to arts, cultural and heritage programs in the county. These are competitive grants which can fund up to half of a project's total cost.

Applications are being accepted until Sept. 30 for projects taking place in 2020. To apply, download and complete an application form from Applicants will have to provide supporting documents for the application. New applicants are encouraged to apply and more information is available on the group's website.

According to the release, the YCCC has distributed nearly $100,000 in grants since 2004 to further its mission to "increase cultural resources, opportunities and participation in Yamhill County." A list of past grantees is posted on the group's website as well.

According to the release, grant projects should reflect the YCCC's cultural priorities "to promote cultural activities and organizations, encourage interdisciplinary cultural activities, increase communication between culturally oriented organizations and individuals, cultivate cultural assets and broaden cultural opportunities."
