City will welcome new city manager Dan Weinheimer follwong swearing-in
ceremony Feb. 24
The city of Newberg will welcome new city manager Dan Weinheimer with a celebration set for 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third St.
The event promises food, drink and "good conversation," according to a press release from the city.
The fete will follow a swearing-in ceremony for Weinheimer, who is transitioning from a similar position in Colorado.

Disabled American Vets will hold event heralding Vietnam vets on Feb. 15
The Yamhill County Unit 5 of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary will hold a Welcome Home Spaghetti Feed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Dundee Women's Club, 1026 S.W. Highway 99W.
The event will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and, according to a press release, "give the Vietnam veterans the welcome home they deserve."

Dundee has spot open on planning commission
The city of Dundee is accepting applications to fill an open spot on its planning commission that expires in December 2021.
Applicants must have at least one year of residency in Dundee prior to the appointment, except one member on the commission may be a non-resident owner of real property in Dundee for at least one year prior to the appointment.
Applications may be picked up at City Hall, found online at www.dundeecity.org or requested by calling 503-538-3922. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Feb. 12.
