Florida Georgia Line on tap at 99W Drive-In
If you find yourself jamming out to "This Is How We Roll" or "H.O.L.Y." by acclaimed country duo Florida Georgia Line, then you're in luck as the pair are making a virtual journey to the 99W Drive-in on June 12.
The event, presented by Encore Drive-In Nights, starts at 9:15 p.m. at the Newberg landmark and is open to all ages, so long as you've booked tickets in advance. There's even a special guest joining the FGL boys in the virtual festivities.
"Encore Drive-In Nights featuring Florida Georgia Line with Special Guests Nelly and Chase Rice will air at outdoor venues across the United States, Canada and Ireland on (June 12)," the promotional website for the event reads. "The never-before-seen show was recorded live, exclusively for this one-night only event at drive-ins and outdoor venues."
99W has previously put on an Encore show featuring Bon Jovi this year and more concerts are likely to come throughout the summer as the pandemic limits live opportunities for performers. The sounds of country music will fill the air in Newberg the night of June 12, weeks after residents and visitors rocked out to "Livin' On A Prayer."
"The exclusive concert will adhere to guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as all state and local public health mandates," the website said. "Encore Drive-In Nights has partnered with leading health experts to establish procedures for staff and fans."
There will be vehicle spacing at the event and local guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety will be in place at the recommendation of the CDC. Each ticket admits one vehicle with up to six occupants, all guests must have a seatbelt and parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.
