Grad Night events start Thursday, PFLAG will hold open house on Oct. 23, pizza fundraiser set for Oct. 24

NHS Grad Night events

The Newberg High School Grad Night Committee is holding a series of fundraisers for the Class of 2019 Grad Night Party, including a raffle that features a top prize of $1,000. Raffle tickets can be purchased at home sporting events beginning Thursday. Restaurant fundraisers are also scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday at La Sierra in Dundee, all day Oct. 22 at Red Hills Market in Dundee and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 at Round Table in Newberg. A Shred Day event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Point-S Tire in Newberg. Suggested donation is $5. Krispy Kreme donuts will also be available for sale for $12/dozen. PFLAG open house Oct. 23

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays is launching a local chapter in Newberg and will host an open house at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at 1421 Deborah Road. The group's mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ people and allies who support one another and to educate communities "to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people," according to a press release. Pizza Night Fundraiser Oct. 24

The Newberg High School Performing Arts Booster Club, a subset of the Newberg Boosters, will host a Pizza Night Fundraiser from 4 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at Round Table Pizza. The event includes dine-in, delivery and carry out, but excludes beer, wine, coupons and sales tax.

Mabel Rush Holiday Bazaar Nov. 10

Mabel Rush Elementary School will host its Seventh Annual Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. The event is open to all artisans, local crafters and small home-based businesses. Immunization clinic Oct. 30

Yamhill County Public Health will host an immunization clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Edwards Elementary School cafeteria. Students under the age of 15 must be accompanied by and adult and the have their most up-to-date shot record. Students covered by insurance must present an insurance card, but no student will be turned away for the inability to pay. For more information, call Annie Berger at 503-554-5363.
