February 5, 1940 to April 7, 2018: Ken was a truck driver for several years, worked at the Newberg Paper Mill for 32 years, and retired in 2002.

Kenneth Jay Lewis Jr.Ken, 78 years, passed away at his home in Newberg, lovingly surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born in Portland, grew up in Garden Home, and graduated from Newberg High School in 1959.

He married Karen Denney in 1960. From this marriage, he was blessed with his son Michael Lewis and daughter Monica Terrell.

In 1970, he married Linda (Haskell) Eggers. From this marriage, he was blessed with his daughter Tammy Oare and son Jason Lewis.

He was a truck driver for several years, worked at the Newberg Paper Mill for 32 years, and retired in 2002.

He was an avid golfer. He liked camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and traveling. He took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren participate in school sports. He enjoyed spending time at their home on the Oregon Coast; and spending the winter months at their home in Yuma, AZ after he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesslyn and Kenneth; and siblings James, Donald, and Leah.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; brother Michael and wife Debra, of Basin, WY; brother Joseph and wife Frida, of Lafayette; sister-in-law Lynette and husband Gary, of Cusick, WA; sister-in-law Lori and husband Michael, of Cypress, TX; son Michael and wife Barbara, of Cloverdale; daughter Monica and husband James, of Seaside; daughter Tammy and husband Sean, of Newberg; and son Jason and wife Kelly, of Dayton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held this summer.
